You think Louis skated through that set because he already knew he was in? Couldn’t blame him. And could anyone even vote online.
You think that Louis skated through his set? Wow. Talk about seeing things differently… I thought he pulled out the network television acceptable version of a dick-joke closer with his set. I saw it as the exact opposite of skating…and not only do I not think that he “knew he was in”, I’ve got to say that I didn’t think he was even a lock to make it through America’s voting…And, for the record, I WAS able to vote on-line (first time I’ve ever bothered to have done so).
I’m going to miss you most of all, Sean Cullen…
I still think Louis is a favorite to win. It just seemed that his set wasn’t as hard hitting as when they were in Vegas.. I’m a little surprised Ron g didn’t make it because his set seemed to be what the audience was looking for. I’m glad Tavare’ made it.
NBC’s website is syaing that Marcus was eliminated. http://www.nbc.com/Last_Comic_Standing/finalists/I love it – ‘Did we say immunity? Oh, we meant, you don’t get a phone number, so you lose.’I miss Paul Foot.
nbc.com does indeed have Marcus eliminated and Adam Hunter in the final five.Hmmm… on rare occasions, our information is hinky.
The website is wrong–probably, the people doing the web updates noted that Marcus wasn’t part of the voting and they assumed he was eliminated. (Note–Marcus is the only one of the final eight who is listed as eliminated on the website.)This show is cursed by very bad press/web coordination…not only with this, but remember when EntertainmentWeekly prematurely announced the “Season Finale.”I bet the website gets an update and a fix later today.
…and, it’s been fixed.
PG noted something key in this…“America’s Voting.”IMO, The winner of LCS will be the comic who connects with the demographic most likely to use all available voting avenues. I saw on one NBC discussion thread how a woman voted for one comic 70 times across 3 mobile phones and 4 email addresses. Would Brian Regan have a fan with that much spare time, even if the dedication were there? But overall, I think those comics poised to win are those with the largest fanbase, even if their set isn’t a knockout. If NBC has anything to say about it, I bet they’d like a comic who can do the most for them and their $250K payout. All the same, this is an opportunity of a lifetime for a comic, and as Dat is my witness, I’d take it in a heartbeat.
