In A Nutshell

BRIAN MCKIM and TRACI SKENE are writers and professional standup comics. They were featured in Season 7 of NBC’s Last Comic Standing. They are also the creators of SHECKYmagazine.com.

Launched April 1, 1999, and “dedicated to the glorification of standup comedy,” their internet “blogazine” is read by thousands of comics, standup comedy fans, industry figures and media in 43 countries.

Each has appeared on numerous network, syndicated and cable TV shows. Brian appeared on Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS) on October 11, 2013.

FOS Jim Mendrinos passes along the information that Jimmy Coyne, proprietor of venerable Bayside, NY, venue Jimmy’s Comedy Alley, passed away August 8.

Jimmy always made sure there was something new and fun for the comics each time they came out to Jimmy’s because he loved comedy, and more over loved comedians.

Jimmy’s daughter Linda wanted me to pass the information for her father’s wake and funeral mass out to those in the community who might want to come by and remember Jimmy. Please feel free to forward this onto anybody who you think might have known him.”

The wake is Thursday, August 10th from 2pm-5pm, and again from 7pm-9pm at:
