Wayans walks, five minutes before Friday 2nd show
The El Paso Times is reporting that Damon Wayans walked on a room full of fans five minutes before the second show Friday at the Comic Strip in El Paso, TX. According to the Times, Wayans got huffy when…
…5 minutes before his second show, two female friends were not immediately allowed into the club.
TMZ.com ran the EPT story as well, adding their own snarky comment.
We were treated poorly at the very same club once over a decade ago– if we had it to do all over again, we woulda walked five minutes before showtime, too. So, we’re curious as to Wayans’ side of the story.

Treated badly at the same club? If memory serves me there was never a problem for or with Brian and the problem between Traci, my old manager and a rare heckler was partially at the very least of your own making. You were not however treated badly by the Comic Strip. Wayans problem is that he is an ego maniac with NO regard for his fans on or off stage. The legal system will judge his actions very soon.
Bart: In this case, your memory has failed you. It was not a “rare heckler,” but an employee who disrupted the show. To be specific, a waitress who engaged in loud conversation with friends, dead in the center of the audience. Traci politely attempted to dispose of the matter, but was met with resistance, even hostility. The offending waitress then concocted a hideous lie to explain away the transgression. A ludicrous lie which the club manager bought– perhaps partially out of a desire to preserve harmony with his staff, perhaps partially out of a contempt for comedians in general. When we tried to explain the situation, you sided with your manager and dismissed our account. You may be right on one count: It was at your airport club. Which was defunct shortly after this incident– which came as no surprise to us, considering our treatment at the hands of the club’s management and employees. We are somewhat cheered to hear that this gentleman is your ex-manager. He should have been your ex-manager that very evening.
