Madigan: All comedians are ugly
We’re not paraphrasing. It’s in the Cox News Service interview that ran in the Kansas City Star.
The fact is, most comedians are ugly.
We wrenched it out of context. But it’s not very pretty in context, either.
She weighs in on Kathy Griffin, Larry The Cable Guy, Dane Cook and others. Perhaps she was misquoted. Several times. We hope so.
Also noteworthy is the size of the pic that’s running with the article. It’s a giant headshot of Griffin… and below it are two fingernail-sized pics of Madigan and Cook. Regrettable editorial choice or HTML quirk?
For the record: If asked to name some ugly comedians, we can’t come up with any who are all that hideous off the top of our heads. (No, this is not an invitation to list unattractive comedians in the Comments section. If anything, let’s list the attractive ones… and, what the heck, let’s boost Madigan’s self-esteem and list her first.)

I’d do Madigan in a New York minute! Tammy Pescatelli, Pam Stone, Sarah Silverman, Janneane Garafolo, are seriously hot, and the list goes on (including, but not limited to the female half, o’course 😀 ). The list is at least long enough to publish a “Hotties Of Comedy” weekly pictorial calendar. Maybe it’s because funny women turn me on?
Guys,For what it’s worth, this article was done in advance of Kathleen’s visit to our club in Atlanta. The author of the article, Rodney Ho, I spoke with the night before the article appeared about something unrelated and he commented how long he and Kathleen had spoken for.The following morning, while we were doing radio, Kathleen got to see the article in the AJC. Her first reaction was surprise that he printed up the article the way he had.It was my impression that it was not what she expected out of the article, nor was she particularly happy about it.
What kind of article has the subject’s photo run at 1/100th the size of Kathy Griffin’s? D’oh!Way to be credible…
I have to disagree about Janneane Garafolo. At one time, I would agree. Then, this bitter scowl took over the appealing smile she had. Margaret Cho devolved in much the same manner.
