Our Book!
There’s only one problem. They’re NOT FUNNY. Sure, it’s a great shortcut to try and appeal to the ‘don’t like to laugh unless it’s at the expense of my enemies’ crowd, but All those people, and mostly Ralphie May are HORRIBLE comics with poorly thought out, reactionary material.
It’s like Christian Rock. Doesn’t make sense and seems like it never will.
So…are you saying topical lefty acts ARE funny? Oh my god…there is NOTHING worse. Jeff Wayne is funny no matter what your political beliefs. If you can’t let your guard down a little and laugh at what’s FUNNY because you don’t BELIEVE in it, then you’re just an uptight individual. Not…they’re a bad act. It’s pretty common knowledge…topical acts that are successful touch both sides and expose what’s FUNNY about them. If you don’t you’re “preachy”. We all know how popular preachy acts are these days.
FWIW…I can laugh my ass off at Michael Moore’s “products” and, there’s no way I would vote for a Liberal Elite cry baby like Kerry!
Jeff Wayne is horrible, unfunny Archie Bunkerisms geared towards people over 70. Someone like David Cross, however, is a brilliant writer and comic who doesn’t have to rely on Branson Missouri or ManCow to have a career.
Sorry to hear you won’t be voting for that ‘elitist’ Kerry but instead are voting for that down home good ol’ boy from New Haven, Connecticut.
