Did It Work?
Aside from pissing off the L.C.S. fans who are Canadians (who don’t get Comedy Central on their cable systems), was their any other negative fallout from cancelling the last episode of the reality show? From mediaweek.com:
NBC, which yanked the season (or series) finale of Last Comic Standing 3 at the last minute for two repeat episodes of Father of the Pride, did not benefit by the move. The animated double pop was fifth in the 8 p.m. hour in both the overnights (avg. 4.5/ 7) and adults 18-49 (2.4/ 7).
Fifth?! Nice one!

Our Book!
Yep, us Canadians are getting screwed. Especially since DirectTV is making it impossible to decode their cards right now, we can’t even rely on the illegal American dishes that everyone’s friend / cousin / kid’s teacher has.

Not only Canadians. How about the portion of America that simply doesn’t pay for cable? In theory this is like watching a baseball game tied in the 9th inning, and having them turn off the game before you get to see who wins in extra innings.
Point being, though, that you can chuck a vhs tape at your buddy and still get to see it. We’re a Comedy Central wasteland up here.
Yeah, but you get free healthcare and have a head of state who can read. Sorry about the Comedy Central thing, though. Why isn’t it available in Canada?
We have “the Comedy Channel” up here. We also have something called the CRTC which is a government body that regulates media. They make sure substandard Canadian content can compete by blocking superior American product. Thank God for big government.
